Is it just me, or..... ?

Is it just me or has this been one really depressing weekend even though the most amazing events have occurred? I'm just sad:/ lately I've been feeling super depressed. I have this teensy weensy crush on someone and I went to see them Saturday, but it didn't come out like I expected. It was still great either way though. I just can't wait for the day that I wake up stress and worry free. Well I do now Because I give my burdens to Jesus the night before in my prayers, but I still sometimes feel... So .. ehh.. idk. Checkout vid #2 tomorrow so I can elaborate on this subject. Thanks for your nose :)

03.01 Code of Ethics

In my opinion there are five ethical rules that should be followed as a journalist.

1. "Be Honest" - Being honest in journalism means to always report the real fact. The raw information that actually occurred. Don't falsify information to better your own report. Never be bias towards a subject/person to make your work look better. Tell the truth at all times.

2. "Be Considerate" - Think of the people who could potentially end up hurt by any wrong doing you may cause. Always remember that all actions have consequences and if you're not considerate of the feelings that other people have, your work can come off sending the wrong message.

3. "Have accurate, dependable sources" - This pretty much explains itself. If you're not getting your information from a correct, reliable source then how can people know to trust your words? And in journalism your word is all you havr.

4. "Do not allow yourself to be bribed" - Never let someone pay you to get good publicity. Imagine a world where opinions, and "facts" could be altered based on what someone has. Imagine if someone was murdered and the person who killed them were able to get away with it because they had the right amount of money. How'd you feel witht that sick maniac walking around your neighborhood where your family and children live?

5. "Be Yourself" - Allow YOUR words to come through the paper in your work. Always be pollitically correct, of course; But never allow the style of someone elses work to influence what you've worked on for so long to perfect. Be original in your work of art.

These five rules are most important when it comes to journalism because it helps you to stay on track when trying to be the best journalist you can be. If you remember to be honest, considerate, accurate, true, and original work. The positive will come naturally. Readers and other types of consumers of your work will greatly appreciate it!

“What does it mean to be ethical?”

Ethical is defined in the dictionary as "Pertaining to or dealing with morals or the principles of morality; pertaining to right and wrong in conduct." In a more simple form, the word "Ethical" means to have morals. To always do the right thing even when no one is looking. Sort of like having integrity. An ethical person can be trusted with absolutely no doubt. They can always be counted on to do the right thing.
When presented with the question of what to do if a friend of mine gave a stranger online their address, I had to think of how to handle that in an ethical manner. All sorts of things come in to play when trying to figure that out. If I'm close to the person it would be horribly wrong for me to snitch on them to their family members. It would break the trust of our friendship. Then I thought, "What about the safety of my friend? If that's my friend whom I love and care about, I should have no problem getting help before something horrible happened!" So I came to the conclusion that as a person of ethics and morals, I would snitch to ensure the safety of my friend.
In the field of journalism ethics play a large part. If your stories aren't ethical, then whose gonna want to trust your words? If people are supposed to take you for your word and look to you for true, real facts, then you have to be ethical. I.e, If your show/blog is known for always presenting true facts about whats going on in the world and one day something happens that you don't like, as an ethical reporter it is your job to report exactly what happened the correct way. You aren't allowed to tell it from your point of view and be bias. You have to tell the truth and be honest.

B.o.B ft. Nicki Minaj- 'Out Of My Mind'

If you've recently had any doubt about the lyrical assassination that occurs when Mr. Bobby Ray takes the stage, then this is the song you need to listen to. In this video B.o.B explains how "out of his mind" he is. His lyrics are so crisp and enunciated which makes his style of music one that I thoroughly enjoy! One thing that really surprised me was Ms. Minaj's flow. Lately she's definitely fallen off of her rap "game" in my eyes and this kind of brought "Old Nicki" back. For the first time in a long time I bobbed my head to her verse, and I didn't fast forward through her verse. Kudos to you Nicki!

Anyway, if you are curious about the video, check it out at the link below!
